Bodies twist into impossible positions, while a live band envelops you in a soundscape of electronic dark wave, gothic, industrial, noise, and extreme metal. out of hands is a dance and music performance that delves into the darker side of youth. A group of young people takes you on an intense journey into their underworld—far removed from the idealised image of adolescence and straight into the raw, painful reality of being a teenager.

In 2018, choreographer Michiel Vandevelde collaborated with fABULEUS to create Paradise Now (1968-2018), which was acclaimed as one of the most exciting dance performances of the year. For out of hands, Vandevelde again works with young performers, this time aged 14 to 24. In ancient myths, youth often symbolises immortality, purity, innocence, and hope. However, behind this idealized view lies a different world—a world of bodies out of balance. out of hands navigates the space between the underworld and the upper world of the psyche, offering a mesmerising, unforgettable experience.
